  1. Nov. 29th 2010: GTV- Breakfast show: - Hosted by Gifty Ante for Dr. Sulley Gariba & Mr. Kwesi Nyantakyi
  2. Dec. 16th or 17th 2010: Radio – Citi FM – To have a panel discussion – Mr. Ambrose Yennah, Mr. Robert Arday and Mrs. Nadrata Issahaque
  3. On Friday December 17, 2010, Old Wasecans will launch the 40th Anniversary Celebration in Wa and on Saturday December 18, 2010 the anniversary will be launched in Accra. Below is the program of activities for the launch in Accra:
  • Location: Afrikiko Gardens, near Flagstaff house
  • Theme: Wa Senior High Secondary School, an emerging centre of excellence in ICT

Achievements of the School: – Various- (Academic, Sports and ICT development)

• The School currently hosts a NEPAD e-Demonstration Centre with 20 Client Servers
• It is a Microsoft Partners in Learning Innovative School Programme. The school joined the elite community of Innovative Schools from around the world in El Salvodor, Brazil in November 2009
• The school got there through a keen contest and represented Ghana and Sub-Sahara Africa at the World Education Forum at Salvador, Bahia, Brazil from 3rd to 6th November 2009
• After the conference in Brazil, the following personalities from Microsoft visited the school;
• Dr. Hajia Jummaiu Aijijola (Nigeria), Mr.Phil Odor (South Africa), Mr. Geoffrey Galley (Ghana) to interact with the students and also had some discussions with the Teachers on future collaboration
• The School has trained over 100 teachers and over 1,000 students from the Jnr. and Snr. High Schools.
• It has also offered ICT training to several professionals from West Africa including Bankers, Farmers etc

Challenges of the School: – Increased enrollment of student and pressure on dormitories, water and other resources as well as Teachers bungalows 
 

Objective: 40th Anniversary to be used as a rallying point for Old Students and to warm up for a mega celebration of our Golden Jubilee (50th Anniversary) in 2020

Projects: Raise funds through a contribution of Ghc100 each to procure 20 Desks top Computers and some printers and build and ultra modern ICT Center
